Females who may have had recent skin-to-skin contact with an HPV-infected person (Human Papilloma Virus) can cause cervical cancer. Its also a common ailment among women who have several sexual partners, smoke, and use birth control tablets often.
Unexpected vaginal bleeding, atypical vaginal discharge, and persistent bleeding in the post-menopause situation are all indicators of cervical cancer, as are chronic pain during intercourse, profuse discharge, and pain in the pelvic region.
